Job Description:
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated NDIS Support Workers to join our team as a subcontractor. As a subcontractor, you will provide essential support services to clients with disabilities, assisting them with daily living tasks, personal care, community participation, and skill development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing person-centered support to clients with disabilities in accordance with their NDIS plans.
- Develop rapport and build relationships with clients, their families, and other Next Step Support Services SA support workers.
- Supporting clients to access community activities, social events, and recreational programs, in a 1:1 or group setting
- Encourage skill development and independence.
Requirements:
- Must be available on Friday nights.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Support, Individual Support, or a related field (for example, studying within an allied health degree).
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities, preferably in a community-based setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude towards supporting individuals with diverse needs.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible approach to service delivery.
- Current National Police Clearance and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Professional Indemnity ($10,000,000) and Public Liability ($20,000,000) Insurance (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle with insurance.
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module (or willingness to obtain) and knowledge of the NDIS framework and principles (preferred).
